DANGER OF INTERNET TUNERS
Internet is a fantastic communication system. Like all systems they have dangers. In the case of tuning it is also like this.

Some potential customers do web shopping and everything seems very good. They assemble tuning parts from different companies, where the pictures are beautyfull and the promisses high. The problem is that first of all, this items must match together on a car and somebody has to fit it and tune this all together. You can not go with Your steak to the restaurant.

So think very carefull before You buy. The best is to buy and let fit it, by the same company or a official dealer of the same company. We do not install parts that we didn't sell and we can not give any warranty on it. If there are troubles the customer is always the looser, because the company who sold the parts will say that it is the fault of the guy who fit it and the one who fit it, will tell You that the company has sold wrong or bad parts.

IMPORTANT NOTE : We tune only engines that are delivered to us in stock trim. If there are some foreign tuning parts on it, we didn't tune it, we cann't give guarantee at all and because this are not, the by us choosen selected and tested parts, there is also no guarantee on succes. On this way, we avoid possible discussions and disapointments. Kempower is a complete tuner. This means for the mechanics and the electronics. Some want or can only do the mechanical modifications and hope that Kempower will solve their problems by doing the electronics and adjust the mechanics,  or some have let tune their car by another tuner, without succes and hope that we will solve their problems. This is NOT the way we work. We do everything from scratch or nothing !!!

We are proud to announce that we invested in a new 4wd dyno from Superflow the SF880. It is the first in Europe.

SuperFlow’s new top-of-the-line model SF-880 has an adjustable wheelbase mechanism that allows operators to test vehicles with wheelbases from 220 to 360 cm. These all-wheel drive models have a driveshaft that connects the two rollsets. AWD models allow you to test modern, ECU-equipped vehicles that go into limp mode when all four wheels aren’t turning at the same speed. Each rollset has its own torque-measuring load cell so you can measure torque and power split on each axle.

We are proud to announce that, after so many years of hard work, we have been chosen by various car manufacturers to modify their original software to meet specific Belgian regulations. We have been asked to modify all the original software of engine ECU's on new cars before they are delivered to the customer. Because quantity is usually not so great for Belgium alone, car manufacturers are not very interested in developing specific programming for Belgium, but for Belgian distributors it is of great importance as it may allow them to sell more cars. So we help them out.

SiliconHoses.com are a new name in silicon hoses, but with a 30 year history in the development of engineered components and performance engine applications. They have most items in stock, for the moment they have everything in blue, but other colours will follow. The program will grow day by day.

We found it in . They have most items in different colours in stock (blue, red and yellow) in stock. If they should not be in stock here, we can get in within the week. The only exception is grey and black colour which takes 6 weeks on order. 

I think the 2 are complemantary and both can deliver quickly.

POOR FUEL QUALITY in Belgium!

PETROL users

We would like to advise you to use SHELL (98 octane) or JET (Super 98) petrol. We found that some original cars were knocking with 98 octane from other companies. We noticed losses of 20 hp on original cars. Especially tuned cars should use the best fuel available.

DIESEL users

We advise you to use SHELL diesel. The last 6 months we found black smoke being emitted from new original cars (Euro3 norm). We found that problem NOT to exist by simply using SHELL. Fuel quality is especially important for engines with common rail systems. These are more sensitive to fuel quality. Using poor fuel,  the electronic injectors can become disrupted.

It is entirely possible that these problems only occur in Belgium.

NEW PROFESSIONAL LAMBDA METER FROM MOTEC

The problems with measuring lambda signals from an original Lambda sensor is that first of all most sensors are not linear but have a hysteretic curve. This means that the measuring is only right around lambda 1,00. The differences of voltage at 0.9 are to small to be accurate. That's the reason why we need a linear output. This can only be achieved with a "wide-band lambda". The second problem is that the temperature of the exhaust gas will influence the value. A good lambda system will be a system that use a wide-band lambda and corrects automatically the value in function of the exhaust gas temperature. Then it will be accurate to control the A/F ratio for reading or mapping an ECU.

The new PROFESSIONAL LAMBDA METER from MOTEC uses a wide-band lambda sensor together with a complete temperature correction. This is certainly one of the most accurate systems on the market. It comes with a display, wire loom, Bosch LSU wide-band lambda and software to set-up and eventually data logging. You can read the lambda of GASOLINE/PETROL , ALCOHOL, GAS, DIESEL or "blend" fuel defined by the user. It can be used with a BOSCH LSU or even a NTK UEGO sensor. It can read lambda from 0.7 to 32.0 and AFR from 10.3 :1 to 470:1.

NEW  MOTEC DIFF controllers

Motec has just launched a replacement board to control de central differential of a Subaru WRX STi 2003/2004 called SDC.Other will follow.

MOTEC - SDC (Subaru diff controller)

The SDC controls the torque split between FR & RR axles. 0% lock means 65%RR -35%FR. 100% lock means 50%RR-50%FR You can select 6 modes going from 0 - 100 % lock.

The lock percentage is determined from a 3D table of vehicle speed vs throttle position. There is an option to add %lock based on wheel slip. Each of the 4 modes between 0 & 100% consists of an acceleration table, a braking override table, a desired slip table and slip control parameters. The brakinf table acts as an optional override under brakes.

We are proud to announce You that we developed together with Motec the software to control completely the continuous variable camshaft control of BMW VANOS systems on a M800

the KEMPOWER air filter box combined with a direct air filter on air mass meter allow fresh and more air than stock and protect it from hot air coming from engine and fan. This results in a gain until 11 hp. It can be applied on the following versions of the E46:

We are completed development on a camshaft kit for the new M54 6 cylinder engines such as the new

These kits include a sports air filter and filter box, chip and camshafts. As an option, we can deliver a sports exhaust line for your car.

   These do not seem to be an easy job at first glance.

Now we are testing Valvetronic cams on the four cylinder versions, and finish also the ECU software study of this Valvetronic BMW's

Now we are also busy to search out different tuning stages on the new 6 cylinder valvetroincs. (BMW 3E90 323i,325i,330i - BMW 5 E60 523i,525i,530i - BMW 6 E63 630csi etc...)

Our camshaft kit for the 400 hp M5 is ready. We achieved 452 hp, and with our own exhaust we managed to reach 460 hp.

NEW BMW M5 & M6 V10 S85B50 - 507 hp

We have nearly finished the translation of the software from the new BMW M5/M6 S85B50 MSS65 ECU.

Once we will have found the checksum recalculation algoritm, we will already be able to rise the RPM limiter and eliminate the speed limiter.

We need to do some test on ignition, fuel and vanos maps to find the best results of stage 1 (only the 2 chips)

BMW X5 

 See our list under road preparation. We have already different kits for the 3.0  petrol and also the 4.4 version. We can delimit the speed in the chip, but you need safe tyres for that speed.  The diesel is also ready (modified chip)

We are busy to test on the 4.6 S. 

BMW M3 E46

Our stage 1 for the BMW M3 E46 is ready. We achieved 360 hp, 380 Nm and a V-max of 315 km/hour

Our stage 2 consisting of stage1 parts and camshafts is ready now. This gives  385 hp and  400 Nm.

The tuning of the 204, 211 (Belgian version) and 218 hp 3.0d versions of the 730d (E65) , 530d (E60/E61) , 330d (E46), X3 and renewed X5 is ready and gives 260 hp at least (some had 267 hp) and also limited at 600 Nm

This is achieved like all our other diesel tuning without boost increase, but only by optimalisation of the injection with serious knowledge of the system and software.

Very important is that our programs didn't give diagnostic errors when the car goes on service to an official VAG dealer. This is why it took us more time to bring this kits out.

Now we are able to read and reprogram the Delphi ECU's from the different Focus (100 and 115hp) and the latest Mondeo versions.

This ECU's have no eprom, but now we can reprogram the processor.

GENERAL MOTORS EUROPE (Opel, Saab)

OPEL

PETROL :

We are busy to develop the software of the new Hybrid ECU generation, which are common now on different new models and engines like the different Ecotec 1.6, 1.8, 2.0 and 2.2 even the turbo's. We are now able to read and reprogram this ECU's. We are starting now a development of electronic and mechanical kits for this engines.

Z engines

We have good results with the latest 1.6 engine Z16XE combining a direct filter system and an remapped ECU. +12hp /  + 19Nm.

The 1.8 engine Z18XE gives with the same modifications +13hp / +18 Nm.

After serious testing we have now developed good cams for the Z22SE engine. The only problem is that we have take the cylinder head off to machine it,  to allow bigger valve springs, if we want to use our new cams with 12,00 mm lift. This makes it more expensive, but only the cams combined with a direct filter gives us a gain of 19hp. More soon.

DIESEL :

We update the tuning of the latest  cdti versions.

Because most of the Japanese cars cannot be remapped, we found the solution in an extra ECU that we can program the ignition and injection in idle, part load and full load, delimit speed and even defence fuel cut.
