DYNO CONDITIONS |
- TOWING
- see
that the original TOWING EYE is always in the car.
- if
the car is equipped with a TOWING HOOK at the rear to attach a trailer,
see that this is already installed before coming to here.
- we
can not test cars where the original foreseen places to put the towing
eye are away, or are not accessible because of f.e. not original bumpers
- FUEL
- see
that there always is ENOUGH FUEL in the car to do the tests.
- important
note : most cars now goes in another ECU program when the fuel lamp on
the dash is on and give not the correct power anymore
- if
You come to let tune the car You need to fill the car with : (only for
Belgian fuel)
- for
Petrol cars : 98 octane SHELL or LUKOIL
- for
Diesel cars : SHELL or LUKOIL
- LIQUIDS
- check
before coming that there is enough oil in the engine / transmission /
assisted direction etc...
- check
that the is enough cooling liquid
- cars
with any leak of liquid are not allowed (oils/cooling liquid/fuel)
- ALARM
- gives
us always the security codes or keys from the alarm or disable it
before.
- TYRES
- the
tyres may not be so large that when we tow the car to the ground, that
the tyres touch the wheel arches. In that case we destroy the tyres and
wheel arches and we can not measure the car
- check
before coming always the tyre pressure
- winter
or summer tyres give no problem
- for
race cars, it is better to put old rain tyres. Slicks can give traction
problems on the dyno.
- see
that the anti-theft key for the wheel bolts or nuts is in the car and
let us know the place where it is. This is in case we have to change a
wheel.
- ALIGNEMENT
- the
car must always be correctly aligned before coming to here. A bad
aligned car can be very dangerous on the dyno and is not allowed.
- COOLING
- take
all things away that can influence cooling of the radiators (water
radiator / oil radiator /intercooler etc...). I think for example at
extra lamps or so.
- check
that the electric motor or viscous coupling of the radiator fan is
working correctly
- check
that belts are in good condition and that they didn't slip
- on
race cars let us always know the place of the cooling switches
- PROTOTYPES
- self
made prototypes must get our approval before we allow them to test on
the dyno
- RESPONSABILITY
- we
are not responsible for measuring cars on the dyno with not original
engines, not by KEMPOWER build or tuned engines or in case one or
some of the conditions above are not fullfilled.
- take
all precious objects out of the car. We are not responsible for lost
objects.
- in
case the car comes in with a damage, pictures will be taken and the
customer will be informed before starting our job.
